Chhattisgarh Security Forces Strike Hard, Kill 30 Maoists Along Narayanpur-Dantewada Border: Reports
New Delhi: In a significant operation, security forces shot dead thirty Maoists in a forested area along the Narayanpur-Dantewada border in Chhattisgarh today, marking a major victory in their ongoing battle against Maoist insurgency, according to sources.
The operation, involving the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and the Special Task Force (STF), began yesterday following intelligence reports indicating a strong Maoist presence. By noon today, forces engaged in an encounter that continues as they pursue a few remaining Maoists who retreated further into the woods.
The security teams conducted combing operations in several villages, including Govel, Nendur, and Thulthuli, under the jurisdiction of the Orcha and Barsur police stations. During the encounter, a cache of weapons, including assault rifles and AK series firearms, was recovered.
This encounter is considered one of the most significant achievements for security forces in their ongoing efforts to combat the Maoist threat in Chhattisgarh.
